Think Fruit Preserves are just for sweet treats and breakfast? They're not! There are so many ways to enjoy our Fruit Preserves; even at the dinner table. Here is just one way to enjoy: Cherry Preserve Pork Chops
Our Preserves pair great with savory dishes; they add the perfect amount of sweetness to mix up the typical dinner.
Just Spread Cherry Preserve- Can also try Strawberry: One jar; or, one cup
4 Pork Chops
Fresh Chives- Chopped (Optional)
Salt and Pepper: About 1 teaspoon of each (Or to taste)
Balsamic vinegar: 1 teaspoon
Heat up saucepan on medium heat and grease with cooking spray
Season 1 pork chop with salt and pepper and put onto pan and fry each side for about 5 minutes depending on size- NOTE: We used large chops and had to cut them in half for cooking
After frying the chop, keep warm out of pan
Repeat steps 1-3 for all the chops
While the pork chops are cooking, chop up the chives for the final garnish.
Once chops are done; in the same pan pour one jar (1 cup) of Cherry Preserve onto pan with the balsamic vinegar and heat while stirring for about a minute.
Remove preserve sauce from heat and keep in separate bowl to pour over the pork chops before serving.
Place pork chop on plate and cover in preserve sauce to taste and add chives on top.
This meal is perfect for a night with family or guests! The sweetness adds a delicious summer-flare to traditional pork chops.
